Narco governments

Narcotraffickers are becoming more and more sophisticated, instead of Carteles fighting each other within a country, now they realize that is more cost effective to have a whole country dedicated to narco-trafficking, using the country resources, protected by the police and army, passing benevolent laws and benefiting from open borders and free trade agreements.
There are three countries so penetrated by Narcotrafficker that they do not even bother to hide the facts that they are narco states which main source of revenue derive from trafficking drugs:
• Venezuela is a Narco State which entire government is linked to narcotrafficking from tyrant Maduro down. Despite loosing almost all revenue from oil, you still can see Government officers, Generals, Ministers enjoying the high live with Ferraris, private jets, lavish parties and trips and mansions in one country where the people are starving to death.
• Colombia and Mexico are in a more evolved stage, their governments were penetrated by narco money long time ago, but their governments want to keep an appearance of public legitimacy while benefiting from drug money. The same show of richness by few Government and military officers and drugs capos, while impoverished people seek refuge in USA.
Venezuela, Colombia and México are narco states exporting drugs and crime to the largest consuming economies in the world, USA and the European Community (EC).
Here in the USA we have law enforcement agencies (CIA, DEA, ICE), congress, Department of Justice (DoJ), why are those agencies not preventing the inflow of drugs into USA? Is our government also being penetrated by corrupt narco money? Is the Chapo Guzman extradition and trial in the USA just a cover up to more powerful political players elsewhere in our government. Why, if the CIA, DEA know what the main players of this trade are, is no one being prosecuted?
Our youth are dying or creating a whole generation addicted to very powerful drugs and unable to be part of a modern society, they are easy pray to exotic liberalism and socialism convincing them the government will provide for them, like in Venezuela and in the same way Pablo Escobar Gaviria did in Medellin, as long as they play by the rules of total dependency and submission to the Narcos if not they will kill you now in masses by starvation and depriving people of basic services, education and health.
It can be noticed that CIA, DEA, Congress is doing nothing to counter this narco regimes. There is big money and show in Wars and Drugs to get advantage of, we will need to pay CIA, DEA, Politicians, we will need walls to stop desperate people invading our country, we will need judges, military equipment, health service for drug addition, jails for minorities: BIG BUSSINESS.

PS: Finally @realDonaldTrump government is backing the new #Venezuela government and had help to gain traction from other Governments in Europe and South America.

There is high hopes Venezuela will get rid of Maduro’s narco tyranny, meanwhile in desperation those narco thugs are killing more Venezuelans and are not allowing humanitarian aid to reach people in need of food and medicine,

It seems we are on a not destination journey.
We are talking Socialism is better than Capitalism as is both systems were not tested by the ages and results on both systems are in long time ago.
Why are we in this cross road again. I know Capitalism is faulty, it left out of prosperity many people, but inclusive Socialism, although leaving a few in extreme richness, is very inclusive in the misery they produce and a great equalizing in misery for all.
If you compare past and present examples of Capitalism vs. Socialism, is easy there are many examples: Russia vs USA, Venezuela/Cuba vs USA, European Union (EU) vs. USA, China vs. USA.
Is worthy nothing that USA capitalism is the standard comparation vs. Socialism.
USA way of government, despite drifting more and more apart from the mandate in our constitution by swamp law makers, judges and presidents is still a weak government by the people for the people and we are living in the most prosperous, law abiding and creative nation in the world with a lot of problems that we, as a nation, are constantly trying to solve.
Socialist countries are ruled by an elite class with all privileges for them and a not conflict allowed, perfect society, with not access to human basic needs of freedom, pursuit of happiness, free determination of our destiny, Venezuela a recent example.
Dangerous time for us, here in the USA. Dark forces upon us and lack of clarity from leaders lacking the wisdom to foresee what could be the demise of the greater democratic country in the world. Sad.

Lump Sum Projects 101

There is a tendency to executing projects under a Lump Sum (LS) type of contract. Let us review under which circumstances is a Lump Sum contract recommended to achieve the Project main objectives of Quality, Time, Budget and Safety:
• Unless the detail Engineering and Design (E&D) is completed a Lump Sum (LS), type contract must not be used
• A LS project cannot be split in pieces among several contractors, so Contractors must be evaluated regarding their multidisciplinary craft and coordination resources and abilities
• Sub-Contracting by the main LS contractor must be under predefine rules and be legally bind
• Lump Sum projects must be aware of Long-Term Items procurement because those need to be purchased during early E&D
• Mobilization and Demobilization times must be accounted for in the master plan as normally large contractors need time to gather resources and build/find infrastructure for local shops, warehousing and accommodation
• Experienced Contractor are a must for LS Projects
• Financial strength of LS bidders must be verified
• Organization charts up to the third level must be approved by the owner
• Specific targets, procedures and regulations under which the LS contract will be executed must be clearly defined and agreed upon for all parties to the contract
• Responsibility and Risk sharing in case of Lump Sum projects is shifted towards the LS Contractor
• High level Project Sponsors, with delegated power to solve problems, must be appointed and the financial delegation and authorities well defined through the whole organization chart
There may be some others interesting issues in a LS Project, but the most important one is the need to have E&D complete before committing to a LS Contract and the main reason of that is cost, without a proper completed E&D the cot estimate for the project will be, at best, an order of magnitude estimate, if contingency and risk are considered the bids for a LS could be very high or worst very unrealistically low in bot case the Owner will pay a lot more than it would be if this requirement for LS project is followed.
Nowadays the use of Lump Sums contracts is used without proper betting the circumstances under which this type of contract is beneficial

Warren taxes on Billionaires

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is proposing taxing the mega rich with the argument that an NFL owner just recently bough a 100 Million mega yacht and that a better use for that money and she knows better than a Billionaire about finances, is to pay college debt for students.
I will do a ball park assessment of what impact a big tax in billionaires be:
1. There will not be Billionaires as there will be not incentive to create and enjoy wealth, so the money supposedly coming from taxing Billionaires will dry out very rapidly
2. Mega yachts are a highly sophisticated industry with boutique design, engineering and naval architect firms creating unique yachts using high end material, technologies, craft, engineers and labor. This industry will disappear killing highly skilled, professional of every discipline, high paid employees very difficult to train and replace once gone
3. Fine furniture, exotic woods from sustainable forest, ebonists, welders, composite materials, sophisticated high efficiency low polluting engines, solar cells, portable power generation and water treatment plants will not be developed for this highly demanding market curtailing innovation and creating unemployment
4. Ultra-low Sulphur diesels and fuels will not be demanded by people who can afford them and those cost will be imposed on the transportation industry ricing prices for every day American, taxing the needed instead of the rich
5. Captain, Pilots, chefs, yacht crews, maintenance crew, insurers, janitors will lose rewarding high paying jobs
Those above are just the Billionaires who like to enjoy a yacht, but the same will happen with mansions, super cars, private jets, luxury cabins and land preserved by those mega rich.
What about philanthropy, where those Billionaires help noble causes in a far more efficient way that government bureaucrats.
We could hope that Sen. Warren is just ignorant, but is not, she knows far well the devastating implication of her tax proposal as they are not new and had been implemented with dreadful consequences in all socialist, lefties, liberal societies.
We know the terrible consequences of taxing productive people and entrepreneurs, Venezuela is a current example of those lefties policies, but nevertheless people fall for it and vote for them more and more as a mirage of getting everything from the state, education, health care, cell phone, food stamps, housing is an irresistible call by con artists impersonating Politicians. The stakes are very high, those who buy into Sen. Warren, Clintons, Harris, Sanders, AOC and many more narratives are just paving the way for the destruction of USA, those people just want your vote for ever to keep you as pawns while they will enjoy the sweet product of their deceits.

• A father must have a say and assume responsibility for his unborn baby
A Political party that is all the time arguing against the right of citizen to bear arms, mainly because the risk to our children at schools, are the one who, without any scruple, are advocating to kill innocent unborn children.
A society so dehumanized that can kill innocents will cease to exist.
